POWER: UK Cancels Power Market Notice

The UK’s National Energy System Operator (NESO) has cancelled the power market notice it issued earlier today according to Bloomberg.
- The operator issues the warning when the supply buffer falls below the threshold determined in the capacity market rules.
- Wind output at 16:30 BST is forecast at 2.99GW, or a 10% load factor, data from SpotRenewables showed.
- EdF has taken the Sizewell B nuclear reactor offline on 11 October for around two months amid a major overhaul.
- Earlier this month, the UK’s energy system operator said it is forecasting a winter margin of 5.2GW for 2024/25, compared with 4.4GW last winter.
