Vattenfall, BASF have inched closer to commissioning its 980MW Nordlicht I and 630MW Nordlicht II German offshore wind farms for 2027-28, entering a transport and installation agreement with Havfram, Havfram said today. 

  • Turbine transport and installation for the Nordlicht 1 will begin in the summer of 2027, with the Nordlicht II beginning in summer 2028. 
  • Once fully operational, the Nordlicht I and II projects’ combined production is expected to be around 6 TWh/yr.
