President Lula Says It's Not A Problem To Have a Fiscal Deficit Of 0.1%, 0.2% Or Zero

  • In an interview with TV Record in Brazil, President Lula said that he is not obliged to meet the fiscal target and that it is not a problem to have a deficit of 0.1%, 0.2% or zero.
  • Bloomberg also reports that Lula said the important thing is that the country grows. However, he added that the government will do whatever is necessary to comply with the fiscal framework and that he is serious about the fiscal issue.
