JGBS AUCTION: PREVIEW: The Japanese MOF will today sell Y400bn of 10-Year JGBi's
re-opening JBI#24. The MOF last sold 10-Year JGBi's on November 8, the auction
drew cover of 3.425x at a high yield of -0.204%, low price of 102.90, with
83.6431% of bids allotted at the high yield.
- 10-Year JGBis operate just above the recent cyclical trough at 0.07%, with the
pullback in crude oil prices providing some weight in recent weeks.
- The continued, subdued CPI outlook in Japan will do little to stir strong
demand for inflation protection.
- Results due at 0335GMT/1235JST.
