Looks like PVH is being dragged into trade wars here. China's commerce ministry is investigating PVH for "unreasonably boycotting Xinjiang cotton and other products... without a factual basis, seriously damaging the legitimate rights and interests of relevant Chinese enterprises"

U.S. policy defined by the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) is for goods produced in the region to be prohibited from being imported into the the country unless "clear and convincing evidence" of it not being sourced by forced labour is shown. Particularly relevant for PVH given past allegations high-flying apparel brands were using suppliers tied to unethical practices in the region. PVH has always denied such accusations and it publicly discloses all suppliers - which in the past have all been outside the Xinjiang region.
