OIL

Qatar’s crude and condensate shipments climbed in December to the highest in three months amid a strong pull of cargoes from South Korea, according to Bloomberg.

  • Total crude and condensate exports were 806k b/d in December, compared to 643k b/d in November.
  • Exports of crude were up 33% to 575k b/d, while condensates were up 10% to 231k b/d.
  • Shipments to South Korea grew by 35% on the month to a four-month high of 172k b/d. However, flows to China were there lowest since Aug. 2022 at 129k b/d, likely due to a scarcity of remaining import quotas.
