AUSSIE BONDS: Quiet session so far for Aussie bonds, market awaits the pricing
of the new syndicated 2.75% November 2029 issue. Demand is expected to be strong
for the issue, syndicated issues last year were taken down well. As it stands,
the current record for issue size is A$11bln for a November 2028 issue in
February 2017. In January 2017 the AOFM launched A$9.3bln December 2021 issue
via syndication.
- The curve is pivoting, short-end seeing some steepening with 3-/10-Year spread
at 61.2bp some 15bp wider than lows hit in December, while the 10-/30-Year
spread at 65.9bp is 15bp tighter.
- Aside from the syndicated issue later today the key for Aussie bonds will be
Labour Market data on Thursday.
