RBA Day

AUSSIE BONDS

A fairly flat overnight session for futures, at least by recent standards, with YM underpinned in the wake of yesterday's larger than usual round of ACGB purchases from the RBA as the market awaits today's monetary policy decision. YM +0.5, with XM -1.0 in early Sydney dealing as a result, after the U.S. Tsy curve was subjected to some twist steepening pressure on Monday.

  • The RBA decision headlines the local docket on Tuesday (please see our full preview for more colour on that matter), while Q4 BoP Current account and net exports data is set to supplement the main event.
