The EIB and Erste Bank are financing the construction of six agrivoltaic solar farms in Burgenland, Austria – a combined capacity of 257MW – with commissioning by mid-2026, the EIB said.

  • The units also include a total BESS capacity of 4.1MW
  • The EIB is financing 72% of the project cost, significantly above the usual 30-50%, made possible by REPowerEU support.
  • Feed-in premium schemes under Austria’s Renewables Expansion Act will further support the operation.
