  • Piechaczyk urged that renewables must participate more in maintaining the grid’s voltage and frequency.
  • Renewable subsidies that support operators to continue to produce even when price turn negative should be reviews to ensure the grid can accommodate more clean power, Piechaczyk said.
  • In the future, renewable producers must accept a power system that allows grid operators to automatically curtail output to optimise the cost of clean energy growth, he added.
