Italy is expected to add 7.5GW of new renewable energy capacity in 2024, GSE chairman Paolo Arrigoni said, cited by Reuters. 

  • "We are getting closer to the average annual addition of 9GW per year we will need in order to meet the government's 2030 targets," Arrigoni said.
  • The Italian government has confirmed in its final NECP to target 131GW of renewables by 2030.
