RUSSIA: Government Extends Gasoline Export Ban Until End-2024

  • Russia has extended its ban on gasoline exports until Dec. 31, according to a statement on its official Telegram channel cited by Bloomberg
  • The decision was taken to “support stability in the fuel market in the period of continuing seasonal demand and planned maintenance at oil refineries.”
  • The current ban on gasoline exports is in place until Aug. 31, shipments abroad were temporarily allowed in July. Deputy PM Alexander Novak in July said the government has no plans to impose a ban on diesel exports.
