Russia to Maintain 2023 LNG Exports at Previous Levels

  • Russia will maintain LNG exports at last year's level in 2023, Energy Minister Shulginov said as per Interfax. "LNG exports in 2023 will remain at last year's level," despite repairs carried out at Russian LNG plants this year, Shulginov said. "The market is good, demand is strong. On our part it's important to ensure process capability," he added.
  • Russia's Agriculture Ministry has proposed to ban hard wheat exports for six months starting December 1 2023, a draft government resolution seen by Interfax showed. The ministry has drafted a government resolution that would impose a "temporary ban on exports of hard wheat… from the Russian Federation from December 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024, inclusive."
