Russia’s Crude Exports Hit 3-Month Low on Black Sea Disruption

Russia’s four-week average seaborne crude exports hit a three-month low, amid storms affecting loadings in the Black Sea for the past three weeks.

  • Around 3.04m b/d of crude were exported from Russian ports in the four weeks to Dec. 3, according to Bloomberg tanker tracking. This is down 0.125m b/d compared to the revised figure as of Nov. 26.
  • The weekly flows from Russia fell sharply, down 0.5m b/d to 2.74m b/d, the lowest in 15 weeks.
  • Russia announced last week that it will Russia will deepen its oil export cuts to 0.5m b/d below average May-June levels during Q1 2024, of which 0.3m b/d will be crude cuts.
  • Russia’s oil processing in the last week of November also showed the deepest weekly decline since late August amid lower processing at several refineries.
