Russia’s Crude Shipments Near Four-Month High

OIL

Russia’s exports of crude are at their highest rate for four months, according to Bloomberg.

  • Russia shipped around 3.48m b/d in the four weeks to Nov. 5, despite the more volatile weekly flow falling 0.4m b/d to 3.24m b/d.
  • The weekly decline was driven by lower shipments from the Baltic and Black Sea Ports.
  • Overall shipments are around 105k b/ below average shipments April-June.
  • Russia said that it would cut exports by 300k b/d from May-June levels until the end of 2023, but current exports of crude are down by just one third of that level, Bloomberg said.
  • Deputy PM Alexander Novak later said that the output cut will include both crude and refined products.
