SAGBs Feel the Pinch as Duration Continues to Slide

  • SAGBs remains under pressure at the outset today, having sold off considerably in yesterday's broadly risk-off session.
  • The curve stands +3.6-4bp bear steeper in 10-30Y yields, on the back of a +14.6-18.4bp rise yesterday.
  • 10Y yields are hovering a fraction below 9.80, while the 30Y eyes 11.00 resistance – around the 61.8% fib of the 30 March – 11 June range.
  • SA's 5Y CDS also accelerated higher after failing to hold below 210. 220, 230 & 240 represent the next levels to the topside.
