Saudi Arabian Crude Exports Rose to 6.37mbpd in February

Saudi Arabia’s observed crude exports in February rose to 6.37mbpd, up from 6.23mbpd in January according to Bloomberg ship-tracking data.

  • In comparison, Kpler and Vortexa data showed Saudi exports stood at 6.34mbpd in February.
  • Red Sea disruptions have led to a shift in exports with flows to the summed pipeline at 759kbpd last month, the highest since April 2020.
  • Saudi Arabia continues to supply its refinery at Jizan on the Red Sea with crude from Ras Tanura in the Gulf. Eight VLCCs traveled via the route through the Bab el-Mandeb strait to the refinery last month.
  • Saudi crude exports to China dipped to 1.282mbpd last month, down from 1.5mbpd in February.
