Saudi Reduce Crude OSPs to Asia and Med

Saudi Aramco has reduced the February OSP of Arab Light to Asia by -1.45$/bbl, to a differential of +1.8$/bbl to the Oman/Dubai average.

  • Expectation was for a reduction of -1.5$/bbl according to a Reuters Survey yesterday and -1.69$/bbl according to a Bloomberg survey last week.
  • All OSPs for crude deliveries to Asia, Med and NW Europe were also reduced while prices for the US were held steady.
  • The prices have been cut as weak demand due to the economic slowdown and Chinese covid case numbers has been weighing on crude market prices.
  • Crude markets are finding some support today with Brent back up 1.5$/bbl from the low yesterday.
    • Brent MAR 23 up 1.9% at 79.35$/bbl
    • WTI FEB 23 up 1.9% at 74.23$/bbl
