SECURITY: Israeli Citizens Permitted To Leave Shelters, Few Casualties Reported

The Israeli government has advised citizens that they may leave shelters, following a major Iranian ballistic missile barrage from Iran. 

  • Ragip Soylu at Middle East Eye reports: There are NO additional aerial threats from Iran at this stage, IDF spokesman says: “There are a few strikes in the center and south of the country. We are not aware of any casualties."
  • Timour Azhari at Reuters notes: "Israel military spokesman says not aware of any injuries from Iran missile attack, says attack was serious and will have consequences"
  • Israeli national emergency service, MDA, reports: "MDA EMTs and paramedics are searching sites of rocket strikes. Currently, there are no reports of injuries from the fire towards Israel, other than minor injuries from shrapnel or falls on the way to safe areas."
  • Yossi Melmen at Haaretz writes on X:  "One Missile hit TA university 1 k from my home. I heard it loudly 3 ppl were lightly injured from fragments. Israel will retaliate against Iran. I estimate [I]ranian nuke sites power stations and oil si[t]es. Its a regional war and The US will have to make a dramatic decision."
  • Melmen adds: "Biggest attack ever on Israel 200 Iranian ballistic missiles fired from various Iranian sites in order to confuse Israel’s air defense. Entire Israel inc Negev & Jerusalem were targeted. Luckily no Israelis were killed by But 8 Israelis were murderd in a Jaffa by Pal terrorists"
