US TSYS SUMMARY: Sentiment on the impact (or lack thereof) of Coronavirus
continues to improve. Equity futures are slightly off record levels but have
sustained Monday`s late gains, with Tsys weakening alongside.
- Volumes have picked up in European trading, but lower vs recent days overall,
due to subdued Asia-Pac trading amid a Japanese market holiday.
- Most attention is on Fed's Powell whose Congressional testimony is released at
0830ET; he will begin speaking around 1000ET.
- Mar 10-Yr futures (TY) down 11.5/32 at 131-00 (L: 130-28.5 / H: 131-06). The
2-Yr yield is up 1.4bps at 1.4073%, 5-Yr is up 1.8bps at 1.406%, 10-Yr is up
1.6bps at 1.5851%, and 30-Yr is up 1bps at 2.049%.
- We also get Quarles (1215ET), Bullard (1330ET), and Kashkari (1415ET).
- Tonight are results from the New Hampshire Democratic primary. Sanders = 81%
prob of victory, Buttigieg 17% (per latest Betfair betting odds).
- Thin data calendar, with just JOLTS numbers at 1000ET.
- $38bln 3-Year note sale at 1300ET (also, $30bln in 56-day cash management
bills at 1130ET).
