*Almost immediately after the Asia open, news that N. Korea had launched a
ballistic missile that flew into Japanese airspace caused a move into safe-haven
assets, dollar-yen crashed lower from Y110.29 to Y109.56
*Recoveries were held to Y110.12 and ahead of the Tokyo open the pair
consolidated within a Y109.88 to Y110.12 range
*Investors have now largely become apathetic towards N. Korean provocations,
Japanese equities opened slightly lower, but quickly gained a firmer footing.
Dollar-yen stabilized above Y110.00 and began to edge higher. 
*Tokyo-fix related demand then pushed the dollar up from around Y110.05 to
Y110.25, with pullbacks limited to Y110.09 
*As the Nikkei pressed higher the dollar followed-suit, climbing over the
previous Y110.29 high to a session top of Y110.45
*Dollar-yen remained elevated ahead of the European open, last at Y110.38
