US DATA: Sept trade deficit widened to -$43.5b, exactly as expected, 
while the Aug gap was revised wider to -$42.8b from prev -$42.4b. BEA 
said they cannot isolate the impact of the hurricanes on the data. The 
BOP goods gap widened to -$65.4b in Sept, while the census goods gap 
widened to -$64.1b, the same as the advance estimate used to calculate 
advance 3Q GDP. Ex-petro, the goods gap widened to -$60.1b from -$58.9b, 
but the petro gap narrowed to -$4.0b from -$4.8b in July. The data 
suggest little impact on the next revision to 3Q GDP. See MNI main wire.
