- September CPI -0.4% MoM vs MNI median -0.2%; largest decline since 
November 2018.
- Monthly CPI decline was mainly due to air transportation (-19.5%) and 
tuition fees (-3.6%); first decrease since 1973 due to 8.9% decline at 
the Ontario level.
- CPI excluding gasoline rose 2.4% YoY, for the 3rd consecutive month. 
- Global oil prices -10% YoY due to low international demand and switch 
from summer-blend gasoline to winter blend.
- Average of Bank of Canada core measures +2.1% YoY, prior +2%. 
- August foreign investment in Canada +C$5B, first increase after two 
months of divestment.
- Canadian investment in foreign countries -C$4.7B; the largest 
divestment since January.
