Shekel Edges Higher, Israel Ends Jenin Operation

Spot USD/ILS has inched lower today and last trades +56 pips at 3.7023. The rate has been in consolidation mode over the past few days, struggling to test the boundaries of its recent range. Should bulls manage to engineer a break above Jun 30 high of 3.7308, they could take aim at Jun 2 cycle high of 3.7551. On the flip side, bears eye the 200-DMA at 3.5596 for initial support.

  • Israel ended its military operation in the West Bank Palestinian city of Jenin and withdrew all troops from the site after days of fighting. The winding up of the operation was followed by a brief exchange of missile fire in Gaza this morning.
