  • The headline number was significantly lower than estimates of a 15% increase and down on July’s print of 15.7%.
  • Electronic exports however surged up 35.1% yoy for the month, the largest increase in 14 years.
  • Pharmaceuticals -31.6% y/y; petrochemicals +0.9% y/y.
  • The largest increases by country were shipments to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
