Slovakia May Continue Oil Products Exports Beyond 5 Feb

Mol’s refinery Slovnaft may continue exporting petroleum products made from Russian oil to Ukraine after the Russian products export ban on 5 Dec, Slovak economy minister Karel Hirman said.

  • “Such negotiations are taking place in Brussels at the moment. We are very close to an agreement”, Hirman said.
  • The Slovnaft refinery has an exemption to keep taking Russian crude though the Druzhba pipeline beyond 5 Dec. Under the agreement, the crude cannot be turned into fuels for re-export.
