FED: Some comments by St Louis Fed Pres Bullard on the upcoming FOMC meeting, in
a call with reporters (as reported by MNI, BBG, DJ and RTRS):
- Says is not expecting much re forward guidance at the April FOMC meeting, but
it could be a good time to review the impact of programs undertaken so far
- FOMC could emphasize in the statement that current data is not "meaningful",
with the Q2 downturn a result of shutdown.
- Noted that it is "very unlikely" that the Fed would purchase stocks, and
doubts it would have impact given the large size of the U.S. equity market.
- Fed should save some firepower, and be careful of its next steps.
- On the macroeconomic front, says that it is "entirely possible" to see a
strong rebound in growth in the 2nd half of 2020.
