CHINA PRESS: Some U.S. agricultural products, such as ethanol, corn and soybean
oil, wine and beer, were not bought by China because their costs were partly
driven up by the trade war therefore uncompetitive, the China Central Television
reported citing Cong Liang, the Secretary-General of the of the National
Development and Reform Commission.
-The U.S. should create conditions to facilitate China-U.S. trade of farm

-From July 19, Chinese businesses began to place orders from the U.S. for
agricultural goods and by Aug 2, orders including 130,000 tons soybeans, 120,000
tons sorghum and 60,000 tons wheat were placed, along with some hay, wheat,
pork, cotton, dairy products and fruits, and importers have applied to have them
exempted from extra tariffs, according to CCTV citing Cong.
