South Korea Diesel Exports Reach Record High in Nov

DIESEL

Exports of diesel/gasoil type fuels from South Korea in November increased to a record high going back to 2017 according to Kpler data.

  • South Korea exports rose nearly 40 % year on year to 2.7m tons in the month.
  • Almost all the exports remained within the Asia-Pacific region with the greatest volumes heading to Australia.
  • The increase partly offsets a fall in China’s diesel/gasoil exports amid tighter fuel export quotas. China exports have fallen to around a fifth of Nov 2022 levels to 534k tons in Nov 2023.
