SOUTH KOREA: Financial Regulator Aims To End Short-Selling Ban From End-March

SOUTH KOREA

Bloomberg reports that South Korea's Financial Services Commission (FSC) aims to end the existing short-selling ban at the end of March 2025 across all equities.

  • "With the goal of resuming short selling on all stocks at the end of March next year, we are revising laws and will ensure the systems are in place," FSC Chairman Kim Byoung-hwan is quoted as saying.
