Spreads at Belgian-Dutch Border Narrow in July Jao Auction

The latest CBC auction for delivery in July on the Joint Allocation Office (JAO) on the Belgian-Dutch border narrowed spreads on the month.

  • In the Belgium-Netherlands direction, all of the 159MW offered capacity for July delivery has been allocated at €8.96/MWh. In June, all 159MW of offered capacity in the Belgium-Netherland direction was allocated at €11.54/MWh.
  • In the Netherlands-Belgium direction, all of the 156MW of offered capacity has been allocated at for July delivery at €2.81/MWh. In June, all of the 156MW of offered capacity was allocated at €3.05/MWh
  • The Belgian July power base-load contract settled on 19 June at €59.50/MWh, at a €10.56/MWh premium to the Dutch market.
