STIR: STIR futures have received a lift this morning on the back of dwindling
hopes of a positive outcome to this week's US-China trade talks and indications
that Brexit negotiations have acrimoniously broken down.
- Short sterling futures are leading the charge and broadly 2.0-3.0 ticks higher
on the day. Allies of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson have suggested that there
is now limited chance of securing a deal with Brussels before the October 31
Brexit deadline.
- Euribor futures have ticked up 0.5-1.0 ticks.
- Eurodollars are up 1.5-2.5 ticks with reds/greens slightly outperforming.
