Stock Markets Drifting Ahead of Opening Bell

EQUITIES
  • Some weakness in US futures noted headed into the cash opening bell in just under an hour's time. The E-mini S&P trades off the overnight highs by just over 10 points, but yesterday's lows undercut as support at 4377.24.
  • Tick lower in stock futures coincides with WTI crude futures hitting new weekly lows down at $69.73/bbl, the lowest level since Jul 21.
  • Factory orders/final durable goods data out later today, but unlikely to move the needle as market watches infrastructure bill developments and assumes pre-payrolls footing.
