An impressive start for global equities, with a sea of green in Europe and US futures (though slightly off session's best levels).

Overnight, Asian stocks closed higher, with Japan's NIKKEI down 58.81 pts or -0.26% at 22514.85 and the TOPIX down 0.55 pts or -0.04% at 1554.71. China's SHANGHAI closed up 5.877 pts or +0.17% at 3377.565 and the HANG SENG ended 155.91 pts higher or +0.63% at 25102.54.

European equities are up, with the German Dax up 113.98 pts or +0.9% at 12722.17, FTSE 100 up 56.44 pts or +0.94% at 6096.52, CAC 40 up 43.39 pts or +0.89% at 4937.23 and Euro Stoxx 50 up 25.81 pts or +0.79% at 3280.2.

U.S. futures are on the front foot, with the Dow Jones mini up 178 pts or +0.67% at 26896, S&P 500 mini up 17 pts or +0.52% at 3317, NASDAQ mini up 41 pts or +0.37% at 11128.
