Supertanker Conducts CPC Blend Oil Transfers in Med

VLCC Nissos Anafi completed STS transfers of PC Blend crude from the Suezmax Delta Maria in the period April 11-16, according to Bloomberg ship-tracking data.

  • The transfers took place in Malta, and then Augusta in Southern Italy.
  • The Suezmaxes, chartered by Chevron, loaded around 1m bbl each of CC Blend from the Black Sea terminal near Novorrossiysk earlier in April.
  • Nissos Anafi is expected to sail to Asia after completing the loadings via the Cape of Good Hope, traders said.
  • Historically, Asian refiners purchase 8-10 cargoes of CPC blend per month, mostly in Suezmaxes arriving via the Suez Canal. Suez flows have been curtailed by chaos in the Red Sea.
