Supply Pressure from Norwegian Natural Gas Maintenances Eases

Natural gas supply pressures amid annual maintenance in Norway is starting to ease with the return of the Kollsnes processing plant earlier this week, Gassco remit data showed.

  • The start up of the Oseberg field has been brought forward by one day to 9 July. The field has been partly offline since 29 June with an unavailability of 9.5mcm/d.
  • The maintenance at the Troll field has been extended by four days until 10 July with 21.5mcm/d of unavailable capacity.
  • The 79.8mcm/d Nyhamna processing plant is scheduled to return on 15 July, after an unplanned outage delayed its return from annual maintenance.
  • Pipeline imports from Norway have recovered from lows of below 220mcm/d in June back to 252.2mcm/d today.
