  • Post Q2 Employment losses marginally extended through the morning before the Kiwi pared losses in recent dealing as support came in ahead of $0.6121, the low from July 28.
  • AUD/NZD sits at touch below $1.08 handle and is at session highs. Yesterday's losses have been trimmed, bulls target the 20-Day EMA ($1.0829).
  • Cross asset wise; BBDXY is ~0.2% lower and US Tsy Yields are a touch softer. E-minis are down ~0.2%, having opened dealing ~0.6% lower after the Fitch downgrade of the US.
  • An empty local docket for the remainder of the session means wider swings in risk sentiment will be the main driver in NZD today
