Technical Support Eyed In T-Notes

US TSYS

T-Notes edge away from Monday's lows at the re-open, to last deal -0-03+ at 133-09. This comes after the contract ticked lower during Monday's holiday-shortened session, with global equities better bid. The uptick in stocks allowed the contract to show through Friday's low, leaving it precariously above last week's low (located at 133-07). If bears manage to force a break there technical focus would shift to the nearby 100-DMA.

  • A reminder that Tuesday's Asia-Pac session will represent the first round of cash Tsy dealing of the week.
  • Looking ahead, Asia-Pac focus will fall on the latest RBA monetary policy decision, with focus centring on the already announced tapering plan. Tuesday's NY docket will be headlined by 3-Year Tsy supply.
