Thailand's Consumer Confidence Shows Marginal Improvement

Thailand's consumer confidence improved to 49.4 in Feb from 47.8 prior, according to the monthly survey conducted by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

  • The economic sub-index rose to 43.4 from 41.6 recorded in Jan.
  • The employment sub-index climbed to 46.1 from 45.1.
  • The future income sub-index printed at 58.7 after registering at 56.8 the previous month.
  • The index can take values between 0 and 200, with a reading of 100 indicating a neutral mood.
  • Spot USD/THB has extended losses and last trades at THB30.605. Familiar technical picture remains in play.
