US TSYS SUMMARY: The 10Y UST has remained largely unchanged despite headlines
about a spat on twitter between President Trump and the North Korean leader
overnight about who had the greater nuclear arsenal available to them. The 10Y
UST yield is currently trading 0.2bp higher at 2.465%.
- It was reported last night that senator Orrin G. Hatch of Utah announced that
he would retire at the end of the year. He made the decision despite pleas from
President Trump for him to vie for an eighth term in office. This allows Mitt
Romney, a strong critic of the President to run for the seat.
- In early trading in Europe the US curve remains mostly unchanged with the only
real change in the 2s5s part of the curve with the spread tightening 0.4bp.
