US DATA: The AIA's Architecture Billings Index rose to a reading of 53.7 in
August from 51.9 in July, while the new projects index rose to 62.5 from 59.5.
The new design contracts index fell slightly to 54.2 from 56.4. The AIA noted
that all regions and sectors remained above the 50.0 break-even point in August,
indicating positive growth, adding that it expects continued gains in the coming
