AUSSIE: The Aussie opened in Asia at $0.7996 toward the upper side of
yesterday's $0.7942 to $0.8028 range, where broad-based US dollar weakness was
the predominant theme. The main focus today is on Australian Q2 GDP (0130GMT),
MNI's median is 0.9% q/q and 1.9% y/y. An hour later, RBA's head of economic
analysis, Alex Heath, will deliver a speech from the Economic Society of
Australia. Resistance lies at $0.8043 (Aug1 high), with supply then cited above
$0.8050, while hourly support is located just below $0.7980.
