DOLLAR-YEN: The dollar opened in Asia at Y110.17 toward the upper side of the
Y109.24 to Y110.25 range witnessed yesterday, where improved risk-appetite was
seen to undermine the yen. Japan's August PPI (2350GMT) provides a modest event
risk for the session ahead, the consensus is for a rise of 0.1%, down from 0.3%
in July. It is then over to the opening of Japanese equity markets, Nikkei
futures closed in New York +0.5%. Resistance is noted at Y110.47 (Sep1 high),
while hourly support is located just below Y109.70. Dollar-yen was last at
Y110.14.
