The Norges Bank's Regional Network survey....>

NORWAY
NORWAY: The Norges Bank's Regional Network survey deteriorated in February, with
the closely watched 6 month outlook component slipping to the lowest levels
since early 2017.
- Respondents cited Coronavirus specifically as weighing on activity, as well as
deterioration in export markets and domestic retail sales.
- Unusually, the regional network survey this month actually conducted 2 rounds
of interviews, as the spread of Coronavirus toward the tail-end of the month
would have muddied the results. However, these results were not included in the
published headline figures.
- The next Norges Bank rate decision is due on March 19th, with growing
expectations that the bank could move to provide liquidity given the unexpected
global economic slowdown due to the Coronavirus.
