STOCKS: The regional benchmark indices struggled to generate any notable
momentum on Tuesday.
- The session comes on the back of a U.S. market holiday, with familiar risk
matters i.e. the global trade backdrop, Brexit & the potential for the U.S. to
implement auto tariffs clouding the outlook.
- Nikkei 225 unch., Hang Seng +0.1%, CSI 300 +0.2%, ASX 200 +0.4%.
- The ASX's outperformance was aided by a strong showing by the financial
sector.
- U.S. equity index futures operate around Friday's settlement levels.
- S&P 500 -1, DJIA -2, NASDAQ 100 +13.
