AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: The space has moved backed from worst levels, alongside US Tsys,
but still sits lower on the day. 3-Year Bond futures last trade at 97.770 (-1.0
tick), while 10-Year Bond futures trade at 97.250 (-0.5 tick).
- The domestic 3-10 Year yield differential last trades 1.1bp flatter at 52.9bp,
while the AU/US 10-Year spread sits 0.6bp wider at -9.6bp.
- 3-Month BBSW fixed 1.5bp higher today, with the white & red Bill contracts
last trading 1-3 ticks lower, as funding pressures continue to mount, although
the uptick in Bonds from session lows has allowed the majority of the strip to
recover slightly.
- This week's domestic economic docket will be headlined by the Tuesday's
release of the minutes from the latest RBA MonPol meeting, ahead of Thursday's
Aussie labour market report.
- Topside failures for 10-Year Bond futures ahead of 97.3600 left the contract
looking heavy with focus currently on 97.1750-2275 where the 55-DMA is noted.
Bulls now need a close above hourly support from April 12 (97.2950) to gain
breathing room.
