GOLD: The yellow metal failed to make headwinds throughout Europe and was 
marginally lower on the day. The bullion traded in a range spanning just over $3
from $1282.71-$1285.83.
- New York was in consolidation mode for the majority of the session with the
rate bouncing between $1283.62-1285.87.
-Gold hammered (XAU down to 1274.19 low). On chatter that a Middle East seller
across assets, we have been hearing this sporadically since Sunday's
anti-corruption crack-down by Saudi Prince Salman on Sunday. Asset shuffling
hitting rates, equities, metals, oil resilient.
- The yellow metal hovered close to the session lows as the market neared the
week close.
