CHINA YUAN: The yuan closed lower at 6.4956 against the U.S. dollar at 16:30
local time (08:30 GMT) on Monday, compared with Friday's close of 6.4851,
according to the official China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS). People's
Bank of China set the yuan central parity rate at 6.4832 against the dollar
today, stronger than last Friday's 6.4915. Today's fixing was the highest since
May 3, 2016.
