CHINA YUAN: The yuan fell 664 pips against the U.S dollar Thursday,the biggest
daily drop in over two-years.
- The USDCNY closed at 6.3260, its highest since Jan 30.
- The yuan depreciated as much as 750 pips during the day, the biggest since a
big drop of 770 pips on August 2015 when the PBOC suddenly allowed the yuan to
depreciate by nearly 2% against the U.S. dollar.
- PBOC set the yuan central parity rate vs the U.S. dollar at 6.2822, stronger
than Wednesday's 6.2882.
