CZECHIA
  • President Petr Pavel, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky and parliamentary speakers will discuss foreign policy today, with a press briefing scheduled for 10:00GMT/11:00CET. Czechia's top officials agreed early this year to hold quarterly working meetings to coordinate policy, but the one originally slated for November had to be postponed as the Prime Minister was on sick leave.
  • Czechia's trade surplus expanded to CZK12.8bn in October, exceeding the +CZK4.7bn consensus forecast, versus September's revised +CZK11.9bn. Industrial output was also better than expected, rising 8.0% Y/Y in October versus +5.1% expected and -7.7% prior.
